Tanguigue Steak

Chef Boy's Tanguigue Steak is not just delicious but nutritious too. It has all the flavors of steak but all the healthy stuff of fish. Put it on top of steamed rice and everything is fine come lunchtime.



kusina ingredients 
  • 1 kilo tanguigue steak 150 grams each cut per portion
  • 30 grms black olives cut into slices
  • 20 grms red bell pepper (small dice cut)
  • 20 grms green bell pepper(small dice cut)
  • 50 grms butter
  • 10 grms capers chopped
  • 20 grms finely chopped white onion
  • ¼ cup calamansi juice
  • ½ jigger brandy
  • ½ jigger white wine
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 pc dayap or US lemon cut into wedges
  • 1 pc small tomato, dice cut
kusina instructions
1. Season with salt, pepper. Brush the tanguigue steak with mustard. ,Pan grill into frying pan,Flambé with brandy, white wine, until done, and set aside.

2. Sauté in sauce pot with olive oil, onion, bell pepper, tomato. Season with salt, pepper. Add butter, calamansi juice, black olives.

3. Place tanguigue steak on plate then pour on top with Mediterranean sauce. Garnish with lemon wedges.
