Spicy Chicken with Oyster Sauce

Oyster sauce is a thick, brown sauce with a sweet, salty, and earthy flavor. Oyster sauce is a popular ingredient in Vietnamese, Thai, and Cantonese cuisine. This thick, flavorful sauce is full of umami, which gives any recipe it's added to extra oomph.



kusina ingredients 

  • 1 kilo whole chicken 
  • 5 tbsp LEE KUM KEE Oyster Sauce 
  • 5 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional) 
  • ½ tsp powder pepper 
  • 2 tsp brown sugar 
  • 2 tsp finely grated lemon rind or lemon grass for marinate 
  • ¼ cup lemon juice 
  • 3 Boiled eggs 
  • 3 Green chili
  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 1 Onion sliced 
  • 1 Dill 

kusina instructions
1. In a large container, combine the LEE KUM KEE oyster sauce, garlic, chili powder, powder pepper, lemon grass, lemon juice,olive oil sugar then marinate the chicken for at least 20 minutes

2.Place the olive oil in a pan and apply heat 

3. When the oil is hot enough saute garlic and onion then put-in the marinated chicken. Cook all the sides for about 5 minutes. 

4.Pour-in the remaining marinade and add water. Bring to a boil simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender 

5. Add lemon juice. Stir and cook for 10 minutes put-in sugar and salt, Stir in turn the heat off. 

6. Serve hot and put the boiled egg on toppings and garnish with green chili, dill and fried garlic.
