Yes, the once lowly tilapia has been elevated to star status with this dish that caresses the palate as it also makes special any celebration of which it is a part. Chef Boy goes to a Pasig home to cook it for Lola Luz who is overjoyed by the affectionate gesture her grandchild shows her with this dish.
- ½ kilo tilapia fillets, cut into strips
- 1 8g sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 egg beaten
- oil for deep frying
1. Season tilapia fillets with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP.
2. Coat with flour, dip in egg wash and roll in desiccated coconut.
3. Deep-fry until golden brown. Drain using paper towels to remove excess oil before serving.
